The second revolution

As technology grew along the years, it also integrated itself with the media which brings us to the Second Media Revolution where the notion of “mass media” was generally restricted to print media up until the post-Second World War, when radio, television and video were introduced.

Audio-visual media mediums became popular the popular choice at the revolution as they provided both information and entertainment. Due to the fact that colours and sound engaged the viewers/listeners and as it was easier for the general public audience to passively watch TV or listen to the radio for information than to actively read.

Best I show the video which made it clear to me on the second media revolution for further explanation.
